Job Description: |

Prometric is currently seeking a Statistician and Database Manager/Programmer in our corporate headquarters in Baltimore, MD.
This individual will plan, coordinate, and conduct statistical analyses of assigned testing programs, under the guidance of more-experienced professional staff and in accord with Prometric policies and procedures, client specifications, and sound measurement principles. Design and develop data collection, storage, retrieval and analysis tools.
Specific duties:
- Responsible for planning and conducting statistical activities for large-scale paper-based and computer-based testing programs.
- Run data analysis routines using SAS, SPSS and/or other statistical software packages.
- Programming for data filtering and manipulation
- Programming to create new software tools for statistical and psychometric analyses.
- Creating, Running Queries and Manipulating data in Flat file and Relational databases
Candidate Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred in Statistics, Psychometrics or similar field
- 1-3 years experience conducting complex statistical analyses using a variety of statistical and database software
- Intermediate level programming skills in some combination of SAS, Visual Basic, C++, SQL, R and/or Fortran required
- Knowledge of and experience in psychometric software a strong plus
- Ability to meaningfully communicate statistical information to clients, staff and business partners.
