Prometric is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
Conduct Microsoft application new development, and maintain existing Microsoft applications as per requirement and specification. Perform application platform upgrade; convert applications from Visual Basic and ASP to .NET. Develop new web applications for client interface using ASP.NET as per requirement and specification. Develop new web service for sending data to customers using ASP.NET as per requirement and specification. Convert Applications from VC++/COM to .NET, and identify and satisfy non-functional requirements such as security, transactional integrity, reliability, availability. Configure Web/Application/Reporting servers as needed and manage day to day change in software code. Independently perform new development of SQL stored procedures and queries of moderate to high complexity. Create and test reports using MS Reporting Services. Perform logical database design and modeling as per department standards.
Candidate Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in a field related to Information Systems technology (employer will accept a combination of multiple education sources and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree as determined by a qualified credentials evaluator) PLUS five (5) years of experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying back-end applications using Microsoft Platforms in a mid-size to large corporate environment, including; XML, SOAP, WSDL, JavaScript, VBScript, HTML, ASP, Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, VC++, COM Platforms, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL AND three (3) years of experience with ASP.NET web application and web service development, application design and architecture applications, design and architecture applications, and managing projects using MS Project.
